  David Harvey is the firm’s founding member and focuses his legal practice in the areas of: Civil Litigation, Estate Planning and Probate Law, Business and Transactional law and Criminal Defense. David is an experienced litigator with trial experience in many Courts throughout Ohio. David’s professional experience gives him a unique prospective to assist a wide array of clients in various legal areas.

David began his professional career by starting and operating a specialty food distribution and marketing company. Quickly learning about the intersection of business and law, David enrolled in Cleveland-Marshall Law School’s evening program. While at Cleveland-Marshall, David was a senior clinician of the school’s Urban Development Clinic. In his capacity at the clinic, David was able to assist in various facets of real estate development deals involving the city of Cleveland, its neighborhoods and local corporations (both profit and non-profit). During this time David also served as law clerk for a well-respected, mid-size downtown Cleveland firm where he gained significant exposure to civil litigation, corporate defense work and real estate law by performing a wide variety of legal tasks for the firm’s largest corporate and private clients.

Upon graduation, David worked as a solo practitioner representing a wide variety of clients. As a result of growing client base, David’s practice evolved and enabled him to add new and creative members to his team.

  Today, HAI is a dynamic law firm that boasts a diverse and competent staff that is able to handle various client needs. In his professional capacity David has been sought out as a speaker on the topics of small business law, real estate law along with various other legal areas concerning small businesses and professionals. David is also an executive member of the Southwest Area Bar Association and a member of the Strongsville Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time David enjoys golf, spending time with his family and rooting on Cleveland sports.

David is a graduate of Strongsville High School, Wittenberg University where he earned a B.A. in Business Management and Cleveland Marshall College of Law where he graduated Cum Laude. While at Cleveland Marshall, he served as the senior editor of the Cleveland Journal of Law and Health and his research note titled “Theories of Therapeutic Evolution for Juvenile Drug Courts in the Face of the Co-Occurrence of Mental Health Issues and Subsequent Substance Abuse” was nationally published. He also earned the Judge James C. Connel Award for Outstanding Criminal Law Student.
